Robert worked for the City of Savannah as a Crew Chief in the storm water department. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church, and attended Calvary Baptist Temple. He is preceded in death by his father, Bobby Ray Williamson, his sisters, Wanda McDermott and Audrey Pike.

John B. "Jack" Armstrong

On Sunday, September 25, 2022, Ellene Wilkinson Anderson, loving wife and mother of two, passed away at age seventy-seven. Ellene left a strong legacy of love in the lives of so many, especially her husband, Tom Anderson, two daughters, Deanna Sorrells and Danielle Akrong ; and granddaughter, Mia Ellene Akrong. A lifelong resident of Savannah, Ellene was the daughter of the late Henry Nielson and Mary Guyton Wilkinson.

She was the personification of a gracious, cultured, southern lady and she will be deeply missed and fondly remembered. She was raised in Aiken, South Carolina, with her brother Charlie, by her loving mother and father, Ada Vera Ricks and Idus Henry Ri ... Patsy graduated from St. Vincent’s Academy in 1967 and from Armstrong State College with a B.S. Degree in nursing and a master’s degree in Special Education. She taught middle school special education students, and also established a successful tutoring service from her home, One-On-One Tutoring.

They lived in Woodbury until retirement, and they remained happily married and devoted to one another for 69 years. Maggie Gignilliat joined her Lord and Savior in heaven on June 25, 2022. She is a cherished wife, beloved mom, super-fun Nana, loving sister, generous friend and cared deeply for all her extended family and friends.

In 1975, she fled Vietnam with her husband and seven children to an unfamiliar country, not knowing the language, culture, and people. Hazel Georgianna Dove was born in Glen Ridge, New Jersey September 1st 1941, at Moutainside Hospital. She received her education in the Bloomfield School System and graduated in 1959. She soon married Lynn Shorts of Montclair, New Jersey, where they gave birth to their beautiful son, Lance Shorts in 1960. In the early 60’s Hazel worked in the Prudential Building in Newark, New Jersey as an administrative assistant.

Betty Jane Culver “BJ” Thomson, 94 of Savannah, GA, passed away peacefully in her sleep on June 5th after a lengthy illness. Originally from Naugatuck, CT, BJ graduated from LaSalle University in 1948. After graduation she remained in Boston and joined the Jordan Marsh Training Program and also worked as a model. Later, she returned to Connecticut and worked at Uniroyal where she met and married Douglas Thomson in 1951.
